PNPs are agreements between individual provinces and the federal Canadian government that expedite the permanent resident process for certain candidates. Those candidates fall into the general streams of skilled workers to fill labour shortages, businesspeople (entrepreneurs and investors) to create jobs, close family members and students. PNPs are attractive because they offer shorter processing times than the federal and Quebec Immigration programs.
